Due to the company’s growth, we are adding a Project Consultant to assist with Business Development initiatives in our Commercial Design/Build environment. This is a fast-paced, highly collaborative team with a focus on ensuring client satisfaction while living Aura’s values of Care, Humility, Creativity, Passion and Fun!

• Strong knowledge of computer software and social media platforms (Microsoft Office Suite, HubSpot, LinkedIn, Instagram) HubSpot ninja preferred!
Experience
• Experience in a sales setting, preferably in one where the product has a value >$100,000 with a prolonged sales cycle over 12 months (our sales cycle can take over 3 years)
• Demonstrable track record of revenue growth and sustained cold calling activities
• Experience maintaining, modifying and using systems to track and report performance
Credentials
• Post-Secondary degree preferred, ideally in a relevant field (Design, Sales/Marketing, Business, Construction)
• Driver’s License and personal vehicle preferred
About the Role
The Project Consultant (Business Development Rep) is responsible for generating short-term and long-term sales opportunities (with a sales cycle of 12-36 months) through a sustained program of cold calling, client meetings, networking, emailing and lead pursuit. They will consistently seek new business opportunities by using the Aura BD methods to gain key insights into upcoming work, capitalizing on research data and referrals, and developing relationships with commercial real estate brokers. The Project Consultant (BD Rep) will qualify and develop prospective clients and projects with the support of sales leadership to the point of handover, at which time they will be referred to the Client Relations Associate for final negotiation and closing of the sale.
Details below:
• Research and call target clients, mostly at C-Suite level from organizations with 50+ staff
• Investigate and analyze new business development opportunities in Western Canada
• Provide prospects with supporting marketing material and campaigns via email as required
• Respond promptly and professionally to prospect enquiries
• Conduct regular calls/meetings with key potential and current clients, business leaders, etc.
• Ask targeted questions to obtain a solid understanding of prospect objectives, buying criteria and decision-making processes. Remain aware of clients current and future needs
• Attend client meetings in person or online as required (some local travel required)
• Attend weekly sales meetings and actively participate in generating ideas on how to best approach opportunities
• Work closely with the Director of Business Development to develop target clients, moving towards handover to client relations
• Choose, manage and develop a handful of long-term national strategic accounts that may take 3+ years to develop and close
• Maintain ongoing relationships with current and past clients, identifying new opportunities, earning referrals, and obtaining recommendations. This includes proactive calling, visits to clients, and client entertainment as appropriate
• Act as a professional ambassador of Aura
• Attend networking events, meet with and build rapport with associates (i.e. agents, property advisors, brokers)
• Continually build LinkedIn profile to assist in building customer relationships and leverage off relevant social media channels to maximize results
• Ensure Aura’s CRM database (HubSpot) is updated daily
• Update and collaborate with the CEO, Director of Business Development, and VP of Sales and Marketing about complex matters that require higher level intervention

Compensation
